Donna Mae Skogen, passed away on Feb. 20, 2018 at the age of 88, of a stroke at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. A Funeral Service for Donna Mae Skogen was held Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blue Earth. Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Patton Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. www.PattonFH.com

Donna Mae Skogen, daughter of Paul and Frances (Hughes) Dray was born March 26, 1929, in Blue Earth. The family moved to a farm near Pilot Grove. Donna graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1947. Harley and Donna were married at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Aug. 29, 1947. They celebrated their 70th Anniversary last year.

Donna was a hard worker. She worked several years at Ben Franklin and later at Juba's SuperValu. She also had numerous part time jobs.

She enjoyed sewing stuffed animals, needlework, playing cards, and camping in their motorhome. Donna and Harley wintered in the south for 18 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Grateful for having shared her life are, her husband, Harley Skogen, of Blue Earth; daughters, Judith (Nelson) Aakre, of Onalaska, Wisconsin, and Debra (Bruce) Firkins, of Bloomington/Fairmont; son, Daniel (Susan), of Chancellor, South Dakota; five grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty (Ray) Sasse, and infant great-granddaughter Danielle Erickson.
